To create a successful business, a quality concept is necessary. At the beginning of my journey, I was lucky to meet people with a similar vision of the idea, those who became reliable business partners.
Our creativity, entrepreneurial instinct and business expertise formed the basis of the ad project aimed at the B2B segment. On this platform, sellers looked for suppliers abroad, while suppliers looked for their clients, and we provided the ability to create cards and advertisements for participating companies.
Growth point
As the market developed, the bulletin board began to lose its relevance. Customer demand went beyond the functioning of the board and motivated us to develop as a full-fledged web studio.
We were one of the first to come up with a model for creating websites on a cloud platform without hosting; later it began to be called SaaS. By changing the mechanics of our work, we set a goal to work on scale, not price, allowing more aspiring entrepreneurs to launch their business online.
For many years, our product has remained a reliable solution for companies seeking to massively solve the problem of website development. To date, 205,600 projects have been created.
The power of team spirit
The success of the project depends not only on the managers, but also on the team. From the very beginning, one of the main goals of our studio was personnel development.
We assessed everyone’s potential for successful work and offered to perform the range of responsibilities that would bring the best results.
Also extremely important for the prosperity and expansion of business at all stages is mutual trust and honesty, which we have been able to maintain over all this time. You need to be psychologically prepared for conflicts in the process of long-term cooperation and always strive to find a compromise.
About obstacles on the path to success
An excellent example is the situation when our web studio was just starting its activities. When creating the first websites, we encountered objections from customers about prohibiting access to MySQL/FTP (note: “database management system”). Today this is standard practice for all SaaS services, but at the time customers did not understand why this was happening.
To accommodate our clients, we tried to experimentally grant access. The system was overloaded by external developers, and the sites stopped working. So we abandoned that model, sticking with our idea of a SaaS platform, which ultimately led the company to success.
Company development
In all subsequent years, we continued to improve the system, dozens of integrations with banks, payment systems, CRM systems, an e-commerce model, as well as page builders appeared.
In 2021, CMS.S3 took first place in the Russian SaaS CMS rating according to iTrack.
The service market to which we belong is dynamically being restructured and in this situation it is necessary to keep your finger on the pulse in order to continue confidently moving forward.
USP as a competitive advantage
From the very beginning, we took a position of promoting by word of mouth, when new clients found us thanks to recommendations from their friends or partners.
When customers are satisfied with your USP, they come back to you with new requests to implement fresh ideas, bringing even more customers with them. We must always remember that reputation and word of mouth recommendations work better than purchasing advertising.
At the same time, our service has always remained at a high level. Over 26 years of work, we have been able to gather a base of many happy clients. More than 3,000 clients have been working with us for over 15 years and return to us with new projects. Paying close attention to detail and customer needs is probably the best way to maintain your position in the market and ensure success.
Dreams of creating new projects
I think the process of increasing convenience and usefulness for customers will continue through the use of aspects such as artificial intelligence and know-code.
We are already actively using AI in our developments, which allows us to expand the range of services and simplify access to them for our clients. In turn, the know-code platform will allow us in the future to develop large creative projects without programming. Know-code will act as an analogue of modern construction sets, but with more durable and expanded functionality. I believe that the potential of automation and simplification of work processes has not yet been exhausted, and it is worth moving in this direction.
We are also considering the possibility of various collaborations with partner companies, with whom we jointly plan to launch projects to support and service small and medium-sized businesses. Such an exchange of experience will help us expand our client base and become the foundation for professional growth.
It is important for us to benefit society, and especially our clients, so we have big plans for the future that we plan to implement.
